What we do

Kentisbeare Junior Cycling Club is affiliated to the Cyclists Touring Club through Bike Club. We offer children from 9 to 14 supervised rides on rural lanes at a pace and covering distances that are matched to abilities in the group. A typical ride is around 12 to 15 miles and from time to time we plan a longer ride with a lunch stop. We have also been running Spring and Autumn challenge rides including an overnight stop. Our Ride Diary page tells you about all our adventures.

Our 'Keen Teens' rides are for our oldest most experienced riders - these are typically around 70 to 80 km, on road bikes, with one cafe stop and a ride time of around 3.5 hours. We have close links with CS Dynamo Cycle Club in Exmouth and East Devon who offer competitive coaching for youth riders and we encourage those riders with an intererst in competition to find local race events.

Adults too are welcome to accompany children and we rely on volunteers to supervise our rides. Our rides usually start from Kentisbeare Village hall .
